Pasman is a settlement located across
the way from the islet of Babac in the Pasman Channel. From the beach,
one has an unforgettable view of the numerous, mostly uninhabited
islets which are best explored by means of a private boat or yacht.
Pasman has two san beaches and several ports with secure moorings.
It has been inhabited since Roman times, while it was first mentioned
under the name "Postimana" by King Petar Kresimir IV in documents
from 1067.
Mediterranean climate is responsible
for the growth of rich flora and fauna, many species of medicinal
and aromatic plants and also the submarine world hides all kinds
of shells and fish of the Croatian Adriatic. The majority of 3100
inhabitants traditionally made their living from fishing and agriculture.
Hardworking and cheerful islanders have recently become active in
tourism also, so that they developed a rich tourist offer: rooms
with one and two stars, suites, holiday houses, boarding houses,
motor camps, taverns and restaurants where you can try out our seafood
and fruits of the earth, grown on the ecologically healthy island
of Pasman.
