First marina on island of Ugljan

Recently “Plava Vala” (“ Blue Bay ”) d.o.o. Zadar signed a Contract
of Concession for the use of maritime goods for the purpose of
building a yachting marina in Sutomiscica on the island of Ugljan
. The concession was granted for the period of 32 years Concession
to build a marina with 203 moorings, in the natural bay in the
very center of the town. The marina shall stretch across 55000
cubic meters in the sea, and 150 cubic meters on the land.
The marina in Sutomiscica shall be a combination of the old and
new, built from stone, wood and glass.
The mooring in Sutomiscica should receive the first boaters as
soon as the end of 2005, and the whole marina, which shall by then
have a name, shall be finished by Easter 2006.
The inhabitants of Sutomiscica hope for the mooring to be built
as soon as possible because it will surely generate the development
of tourism and more, they will get work during the time that the
marina is open, which is a positive step for the town.
